Today's tip is an unconventional one I learned early on from a colleague to help with voice control that also works to slow down your emotions and keep your cool.
Simply tap your finger slowly on repeat during the conversation. Tap it on your desk, the side of the chair, your mouse, your knee... That's it! Yes, really.
Pro tip: if this is during an in person exchange simply keep the tapping out of the main line of vision.
